Dessert: Brownie Pudding

(submitted to Scouting Magazine and The Scout's Outdoor Cookbook)

Combine in a Ziploc bag at home:

  • 1 cup flour
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

Combine in another Ziploc bag at home:

  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup cocoa

At camp, add the following to the Ziploc with the flour:

  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 Tbsp. cooking oil
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Pour the milk and flour mixture into a foil lined Dutch Oven. Sprinkle the topping on it. Pour 1 3/4 cups hot water over the top. Bake for about 45 minutes. Let cool 15 minutes before eating.
