Religious Emblems
|
The purpose of the
Ad Altare Dei
(To the Altar of God) program
is to help Roman Catholic Scouts develop a fully Christian way of life
in the faith community. The program is organized in chapters based
on the seven Sacraments. The seven Sacraments are a primary means
toward spiritual growth. The following Troop 505 Scouts have earned the Ad Altare Dei emblem:

The purpose of the
Pope Pius XII
program is
to help Boy Scouts and Venturers examine how being a Christian
affects daily life in a real world, to challenge them to evaluate their
own personal talents and abilities, and to give them an opportunity to
share faith and practice their religion among peers.
The Pope Pius XII program deals with church-related ministries and
vocations (single, married, ordained). The following Troop 505 Scouts have earned the Pope Pius XII emblem:

There are of course many other
religious emblems programs available.
These programs have been developed by the various religious groups to
encourage their youth members to grow stronger in their faith. The following Troop 505 Scouts have earned their respective religious emblem:

The Diocesan Catholic Committee on Scouting
may award the Scroll of Honor Certificate to any adult
who has contributed to the
spiritual development of Catholic youths through Scouting.
Adults do not earn the Scroll of Honor Certificate per se;
they are recommended by application to a diocesan
board of review by another person. The following Troop 505 adults have been awarded the Scroll of Honor by the Diocesan Catholic Committee on Scouting:

The Diocesan Catholic Committee on Scouting
may award the Bronze Pelican emblem to adult Scouters
who have contributed to the
spiritual development of Catholic youths through Scouting
for an extended period of time.
Scouters do not earn the Bronze Pelican emblem per se;
they are recommended by application to a diocesan
board of review by another person. The following Troop 505 Scouters have been awarded the Bronze Pelican emblem by the Diocesan Catholic Committee on Scouting:

The National Catholic Committee on Scouting,
acting through the local diocese,
may award the St. George emblem to adult Scouters
who have made significant and outstanding contributions to the
spiritual development of Catholic youths through Scouting.
Scouters do not earn the St. George emblem per se;
they are recommended by application to a diocesan
board of review by another person. The following Troop 505 Scouters have been awarded the St. George emblem by the National Catholic Committee on Scouting:
